NHBC Building For Tomorrow Exhibition
On the 27th April, ROCKWOOL will be exhibiting at the NHBC (National House Builders Council) Building for Tomorrow event at Central Hall, Westminster.
Visitors to stand 8 will have the opportunity to find out more information about the routes to compliance and fire safe solutions in high rise buildings with floor levels above 18m.
Over the last couple of months, Building for Tomorrow has travelled across the country educating the construction and house building industry on this year’s leading theme, the route to quality. Building for Tomorrow has created a separate London event that’s aimed specifically at house builders who are working on multi-storey projects in response to the growing need for high rise residential buildings in London.
ROCKWOOL will be dedicating its stand to help educate house builders on the risks that cladding systems and extensive cavities can present in multi-storey buildings. Many thermal insulation products that are used with cladding systems are combustible and are not compliant with BR135 and for use in high rise buildings. ROCKWOOL will therefore focus on explaining the importance of using materials of limited combustibility (MOLC) for all elements of the cladding system above and below 18 metres.
Attendees will leave the event with ROCKWOOL’s leading brochure, ‘High Rise Buildings with a Floor Level Above 18m’, which outlines the four routes to compliance house builders need to follow in multi-storey buildings. Complete with a step-by-step guide to compliance, this documentation has become regarded as a must have within the high rise house building industry.
Designed for senior decision makers from the construction industry, house builders and housing associations, Building for Tomorrow is one of the must attend dates of the year for house building professionals in London. As well as hearing from leading organisations within the industry, the NHBC will be discussing its latest initiative 'Construction Quality Reviews' that aims to help those in the house building industry maintain and raise its quality during a period of significant volume growth.
As the UK’s leading independent standard-setting body, warranty and insurance provider for new homes, the NHBC works closely with the house building industry to ensure standards of new homes across the country remain high.
