Built to last

Once installed correctly, Rockwool insulation products are expected to perform for the lifetime of the building. It is also easy to install and can simplify the construction process by meeting acoustic, thermal, fire-stopping and sustainability specifications in a single product.

The acoustic properties of Rockwool products will continue to perform as originally specified over the lifetime of the building, providing a consistently quiet learning environment for students. Rockwool’s acoustic roofing solutions have even been independently assessed so that accurate data can be provided to show their on-site acoustic performance.

Insulation needs to be compatible with building services such as piping, cabling and fittings or it may affect building performance. Rockwool insulation is chemically inert, which means that it is compatible with both copper and steel pipes, electrical equipment and fittings and doesn’t require any special coatings to prevent the metal from chemical attack. The fact that it does not contribute to corrosion helps to limit ongoing maintenance costs.

Built to last

Rockwool insulation will last as long as the school – but in only a few months will save more energy and CO2 than is generated by its entire production, transport and disposal
