Making new buildings energy efficient is very important, but it’s not enough on its own. Many existing buildings were constructed without adequate insulation. Whenever they undergo a modernisation programme, it is generally both economical and practical to add extra insulation and other energy saving measures, particularly when carrying out work on areas such as the façade or roof.
