Reducing energy consumption

In its Energy and Climate Plan, the EU has made a commitment to cut energy consumption and CO2 emissions by 20% before 2020. In the UK, the plans are even more ambitious. A Carbon Budget, the world’s first, as required by the new Climate Change Act, has set a legally binding 34% reduction in emissions by 2020 with respect to 1990 levels to put the UK on track to meet an 80% reduction in emissions by 2050.

The use of Rockwool insulation provides a practical and cost effective means of reducing energy consumption in schools to help contribute towards this target and also significantly reduce running costs associated with heating and cooling.
