Thermal performance

Rockwool insulation derives it’s excellent thermal properties entirely from air trapped between the structure of the stone wool. As a result, the thermal qualities of Rockwool insulation do not diminish over their lifecycle and will continue to perform throughout the lifetime of the school building. Using stone wool insulation reduces the need to heat or cool rooms making it both energy efficient and environmentally friendly.

Walls of existing school buildings can often be improved by the addition of externally insulated render systems such as Rockwool RockShield, providing significantly enhanced thermal performance at minimal expense.
