Acoustics
Stone wool has an open fibrous structure making it ideal for absorbing and regulating noise - therefore all Rockwool insulation products have in-built acoustic properties as part of our 4 in1 solution. However specialist products have also been produced to assist homeowners, architects, contractors and developers conform to current regulations.
Current regulations
Building Regulations Approved Document E (ADE)
The ADE sets out clear and decisive criteria for sound insulation performance for all types of residential accommodation, including hotels, student halls of residence and residential homes - plus schools.
