Third Party Approval
Rockwool fire stopping products are listed in the ASFP Red Book, supported by Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) third party approval (please see further information below).
Rockwool insulation has been classified as A1 non-combustible by the Euroclass system – the highest available award. Put simply, when a product is classified as non-combustible this means it will not burn.
Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) approval
We have chosen to submit our fire test reports and assessments for Ablative Coated Batt penetration seals for verification by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) - one of the leading bodies for third party approval. The LPCB has issued Certificate 022b/6 in support of their approval of our fire test assessment.

Association of Specialist Fire Protection
The Association of Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) has developed a series of documents that address the important aspects of fire stopping and can be downloaded from their website www.asfp.org.uk . This includes the ASFP Red Book (3rd edition). This provides a wealth of technical guidance on fire stopping best practice, as well as details of third party approved fire stopping products and systems.
