Hydrocarbon Slab is certified by Lloyd’s Register of Shipping for use on circular section steel pipes, vessels and structural steel elements on fixed offshore installations.

The unique combination of size, operating temperature and fail temperature is critical to the fire erformance of pipes and vessels. LR certified performance data can be supplied relating to the following plant operating characteristics:
. pipe/vessel diameter
. pipe/vessel wall thickness
. hydrocarbon fire resistance period (10, 15, 20, 30, 45, 60, 90 and 120 minutes)
. operating temperature (20, 50, 75, 100, 200 and 250°C)
. critical (fail) temperature (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, and 600°C)

Fire
Rockwool ‘hydrocarbon’ products are non-combustible.

Moisture absorption
Approximately 0.02% by volume at 90% RH.
