Internal Walls - 70mm metal 'C' studs @ 600mm centres


This Rockwool construction show the weighted sound reduction index Rw for plasterboard construction for walls which will enable the acoustician to determine if the construction is capable of meeting the performance standards of section 1.1 of Bulletin 93.

After erecting the metal frame minimum 67mm Acoustic Partition Slab is to be friction fitted between metal studs at 600 mm centres (minimum 70mm steel studs).
 
All material joints must be tightly butted.
 
A single layer of standard plasterboard is fixed to both sides of the studs.

Two layers of 12.5mm wallboard (total 16kg/m2) both sides.
