Are there any changes to the delivery lead times?

We have categorised our products into different groups and each has a different lead-time.  These are outlined below:

In order for us to process your order to meet the specified delivery lead times that we are proposing, the cut-off time for placing orders will be Midday.

A Products
Products in this category will be delivered in 2 working days to England, Wales and Republic of  Ireland.  For Scotland and Northern Ireland the delivery will be 3 working days.

For example, if a customer in Birmingham orders by Midday Monday the products will be delivered on Wednesday.

B Products
Products in this category will be delivered in 5 working days to England, Wales and Republic of Ireland.  For Scotland and Northern Ireland the delivery will be 6 working days.

For example, if a customer in Aberdeen orders by Midday on Monday the products will be delivered on the Tuesday of the following week

C Products
These products will not be held in stock and will be made to order.  There is a 4 tonne minimum order of each product.  The delivery lead-time will be 7 working days for England, Wales and Republic of Ireland.  For Scotland and Northern Ireland the delivery will be 8 working days.

For example, if a customer in Cardiff orders by Midday on the Monday the products will be delivered on the Wednesday of the following week.

D Products
These products are fabricated products and will be delivered within 7-10 working days, dependent on stock availability.  Your Customer Services Representative will be able to give you more details on the delivery date upon placement of your order.

If your order consists of a mixture of products from different product categories, the order will be delivered to conform to the longest lead-time

Please note that from June 30th we are working on building our stocks in our warehouse as well as continuing with our day-to-day deliveries of materials.  We cannot guarantee that during this transition period we will be able to meet the delivery propositions as detailed above.  Your Customer Service Representative will be able to give you the exact delivery day when placing your order.

We are however confident that from 1st September 2008, we will be able to fully meet the delivery propositions outlined above.

How will I know what category each product falls within?

The new Price List will be totally different to the current price list.  To make it easier for you to understand all the changes, we will be highlighting the different service levels at the start of the price list.  There will be a different colour code for each product category which has its own service level.

The Price List itself will be alphabetised and within each Product Group, individual product thicknesses that fall within different product categories will be easily identifiable. There will be a key on each page to make your ordering easier.

Will palletisation affect all products?

No.  Certain products will not be palletised and you will order and receive products in the same manner as you currently operate.  These products will be the Pipe Sections and the Timber Frame Cavity Barriers, which will be loaded onto the lorries as lose products.

What is the minimum order quantity?

The minimum order quantity will be 1 pallet of a single product thickness, unless otherwise specified within the Price List.  Please note that minimum order quantity does not represent a minimum delivery quantity.

How many pallets make up a full load?

For products that are delivered on 1200 x 1200mm pallets a full load consists of 20 pallets of materials.  Your Customer Service Representative will be able to advise you of what makes up full loads should your order consist of products that have different pallet sizes.
By receiving your products fully palletised this should eliminate the problems that occur from time to time regarding short loading queries.

How many different products can be mixed as part of an order?

You are now able to order 20 different products as part of your order.  This gives you more flexibility and a wider choice of products to form your stockholding.

Are Part Loads going to remain available to us?

Yes, you will still be able to receive Part Loads and the charges for this service remain the same.  More specific details of Part Loads will be printed within the new Price List.

Is the packaging going to remain the same?

Over a short period you will be receiving products on pallets in their current packaging.  However we are working towards delivering products in consistent packaging materials that reinforces the Rockwool branding for you and your customers.

How will I be able to identify the products that are contained on a pallet?

Each pallet will have easily identifiable labels.  These will be A5 in size and there will be 2 labels on each pallet, placed on adjacent corners.  The labels will be bar-coded.
