ROCKWOOL is pleased to announce that it has recently been named as a finalist in the Build It Awards 2020. Shortlisted in the Innovation in Insulation category, ROCKWOOL’s Thermal Timber Frame Slab has been named for its combined thermal, fire and acoustic performance, as well as its durability in timber structures.
The Build It Awards recognise excellence across the renovation and self-build sectors, including celebrating projects, services and suppliers that deliver innovation and quality.
Within the Innovation in Insulation category, judges were on the lookout for a product that specifically addresses the needs of the market, measuring its performance and significant differences to similar products.
With these criteria, Thermal Timber Frame Slab was recognised for its multiple levels of insulation performance, delivering thermal, fire, and acoustic benefits within a single product which is simple to install. With minimal cutting, Thermal Timber Frame Slab can save time and add value for renovators, without compromising on performance.
“We are thrilled to be named as finalists in the Innovation in Insulation category of the Build It Awards 2020. As timber frame construction has increased in popularity across the UK, developing an insulation solution that adds value to renovation projects, whilst being easy to manage was important. This is why we have developed Thermal Timber Frame Slab, providing a long-lasting, easy to install solution that delivers outstanding fire, acoustic and thermal performance. This is an incredible accolade that demonstrates our commitment to innovating natural stone wool solutions that perform for renovation application, and we’re proud that Thermal Timber Frame has been recognised in this category,” commented Paul Barrett, Head of Product Management at ROCKWOOL.
The awards ceremony is being held on the 27th November 2020. To find out more about the Build It Awards, please visit www.builditawards.co.uk.
